Myanmar will be able to export more farm products



Yangon, August 18,2005

To promote the farm products export from Myanmar, a first agricultural
zone will be set up and more agricultual products will be produced
systematically said U Myint Soe, deputy general manager from Myanmar
Agricultural Products Trade( MAPT).
It is known that starting from 2005 more agricultural zones will be set
up and one has been already set up.
The zones for producing onions at Magwe and NatMok in Magwe division
,the zones for producing potatoes at Aung Ban ,Heho,Pindaya and Kalaw
in Shan State,the zones for producing garlic at Chin
Sone,Taungyi,Hopone,SeeSaing ,the zones for producing mangoes at
InnDaw and Yatsaok have been set up and those zones are trying to
produce more farm products.
Those who'd like to export the product will be able to buy at one place
and by setting up such agricultural zones it will attract more people
to become interested in agricultural sector.The rate of Regional
products will increase and the techonology for agricultural sector will
be learned in those zones,said U Myint Soe.
