****Earth Hour 2008****

Saturday, March 29, 2008 from 8pm to 9pm

At 8pm to 9pm on 29 March 2008, cities across the world will turn off
their lights for
one hour sending a powerful global message that it's possible to take
action on global
warming. The main message of this event is to inspire energy
efficiency in our homes and businesses beyond Earth Hour.

We are asking Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University students, faculty
and staff to participate in Earth Hour by shutting off the lights and
other electronic items at your office when you leave Friday, March 28,
2008.

There are many ways you can support Earth Hour in 2008, from turning
out the lights in buildings to telling a friend about Earth Hour.

Sign up at http://www.earthhour.org/ and tell a friend!

"AES Drax in Yorkshire pumps smoke out of the tallest chimneys in the country. The coal-fired power plant emits more CO2 – 22.8 million tonnes annually – than the 100 least-industrialised nations combined. Drax provides 7% of Britain’s electrical power. Burning fossil fuels to turn steam turbines and create electricity accounts for a quarter of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions, and coal has the highest carbon content of all fuels"

Колко време трябва да стоим на тъмно, за да компенсираме _това_ ?
