George Best

Shed not too many tears at the passing of footballer George Best.
George reached the top of his profession as one of, if not the,
greatest players of all time. He lived his 59 years here to the limit,
enjoying immensely what he did, unbowed by the "norms" of convention.
And through his football he gave enjoyment to the very many fans who
watched him.

Rather than being remembered as a cautionary tale, let's remember
George first for his brilliant football talent, and second as a
completely free spirit.
