That was exactly the point: he didn't look anything like an Asian, he
looked like what he was--a pale-faced Euro-Brazilian.

It was, of course, one of the _lies_--and the revelation of those lies,
Pentagon Papers-like, by an insider yesterday has been called
"treason". Not because they weren't lies and the revelation isn't true,
but because it shows that the Police Commissioner and the Prime
Minister lied. Lied. Lied. They said he was wearing a puffy jacket,
that he acted suspiciously, that he ran away from them when they
identified themselves and queried him. All of that was lies.

I hope Jean Charles family get £10 million in compensation. Money is
all those arrogant, greedy (hey, they are boosting their own salaries
and pensions to private-sector CEO levels) turkeys in government
understand.

Think: Amadou Diallo. What did he do to deserve being shot (he got 52
bullets, as I understand it; Jean Charles only got 8).

Both were gentle types, innocently going about their business. Of
course the turkeys claim they were "illegals" and deserve what they
got. But nobody has proved that. Many Brazilians can qualify for
Portuguese citizenship and EU rights in Britain; and the Home Office
hasdn't spoken. Only the Commissioner of Police, with his defamatory,
dismissive calumnies.
