Ditto for S. Ossetia and Abkhazia.

For 1990, Abkhazia was dominantly georgian.

If Estonia was given a status of russian authonomous republic you
would have the same situation in 1990 (may be a little less due to
maturity factor).

It may be true. It was done with East-Karelia and Ingeria. For today
those nations are gone as nations.

I don't know was idea
about "Abkhazian uprising" born in brains of some abkhazian or some
KGB strategist,

How come you never knew that Abkhazs always hated the idea of them
being part of Georgia throughout the history of Sovok?  May be you
weren't interested in such things back then?

I do know it - and on the other side of coin I'm happy they got what
they want. Well, but is it what they want? They get rid of Georgia,
But do you believe in future of Abkhazian nation? They are the last
Black Sea coast for Russia now, so not even SB but just real estate
developers will turn it into Russian resort area with abkhazian folk
groups dancing and singing on bars/restaurants somedays.

but from that point Russia has been behind everything
what happens there with clear perspective to cut Georgia smaller.

They demonstrated that they could have easily occupied the whole of
Georgia Proper if they wanted to.  Saakashvili pressed a "green light"
button.....and traffic followed.

Why they need to demonstrate it? France can occupy Belgium, Luxembourg
or Andorra - but it not means they must do it. For Shaaka, there is
just three possible scenarios why he went to Tsinkhvali:
a) he thinks Georgia can beat Russia militarily
b) he thinks US will start (nuclear) war to keep Georgia together
c) hint comes from Russia.

For a) - it's just absurdic. For b) - if to believe Condy Rice, US
warns Shaaka all the time not to go militarily. So what remains? A
hint that Russia is tired to put money into S-Ossetia and will accept
Georgian dominance, if Shaaka acts quickly. and Shaaka falls into
trap.

Look at sites of South-Ossetian Govt - they are not in Ossetian but in
Russian. People in Govt mostly have no real ties with South-Ossetia
but having long career in Russian military and security structures. I
hardly subscribe to "national movement" fighting not in own national
language but ...in language of large neighbour country.
