Pictures from Medvedev's arrival today

I decided to go and see if there was anything to see when Medvedev arrived at the presidential palace in Helsinki at 12.30 p.m. today (he was 15 minutes late). These were my observations:
a.. Contrary to Soviet times, nobody was waving small flags along the route
b.. There were few people watching and we were kept at an annoying distance
c.. Finns are extremely disciplined: everybody stayed on the kerb where a policewoman asked us to stand (there were no fences)
d.. The military band played the national anthems (the Russian one too slowly, or has the tempo been changed?) and then started to play the Pori March* before Medvedev and Halonen were ready to start inspecting the troops, and so they had to stop and then start anew -- a little faux-pas
e.. There were two official demonstrations, one organized by Pro Karelia (who want to get Karelia back) and the other one by Heidi Hautala from the Greens (who is constantly worried about human rights in Russia)

See my fresh pictures here (we have a sunny day but only +3°C):
