Latvian namesake of Vidas conquers the World

29-year-old Jewish/Russian-Latvian singer Vitas, born in Daugavpils,
Latvia, has become a sensation with billions in the Far East. They
have already erected a monument to him in China. No, he is far from
being dead. I guess the Chinese don't know about the Jewish tradition
of not erecting monuments to living people. (Another monument to a
living Jewish singer is the statue of Iosif Kobzon erected in his home
Dnepropetrovsk region in Ukraine).
