A friend of mine forwarded this to me, perhaps it could be of interest
in this forum as well.
If you are familiar with theEuropeanpoliticians and politics, you
can participate in the following popularity poll:
http://www.ev50.org/noflash/category.asp?id=3
-> go to lower right and vote.
Aciu, Evaldai, now I've voted, which wasn't so easy since 80% of the names
were totally unknown, but all the three Balts got one vote from me.
Incredible that I would ever vote for Ian Paisley, but I really think that
peace in Northern Ireland was the greatest achievement thisyear. Of course
it was achieved more despite of Paisley than thanks to him...

Regards,
John

Congrats to all!

Hey, that's whom I voted for! Where do I collect my prize? :-)

He should have said something nasty about nearby countries where European values are being trampled upon and even considered a threat, but I guess this wasn't the right occasion.

Sorry, I must have been blinded by his eloquence to overlook this:

'But we all know that there are people who are beaten up and arrested in certain EU neighboring countries.'

Attaboy, Valdai!
