What I find very significant is the fact that, given that this product
seems to be indeed entering production lines and that it looks like it
has a number of contracts in its portfolio, including in Europe, it
will be the first industrially produced final product from Russia in
the Western markets since.. well I don't know, perhaps ever. More to
come?
Well, it is so in purely civil industry. And rather special one.
Basically it's a joint venture as many parts will be manufactured
outside Russia and Russia controls minority of shares. The same is
happening now with Russian military export - T90, very popular in the
world market will be equipped by the French all conditions visual
system.
I wonder who are possible competitors at this niche of the market.

A very nice news. In is original form EU was created to tie French and
German industries so strong, that war between the two would be
impossible.
I am not sure - the US presence guaranteed that in my mind. It (proto
EU) was initially a steel trade agreement between five or four countries
- France, West Germany, Italy, Netherlands.
More trade between Russia and other world means by me less
political barking :-)
Yep, it's the direction - I was a bit incorrect though - the whole
thing started few years earlier for export version of T90, what happens
today has especial significance because the system is installed on T90
for Russian army, what previously was outright taboo on both sides.
The significance is noticed by Russian press:
