Nice said!
If wishes were horses, beggars would ride, psiakrew.
I am afraid Kaminski(s), you are living in the world of illusion.
You have developed false impression, that NATO and EU
second grade membership gives to you and all Lithujnians
a much desired security, where you can screw up other
people safely and get away with that.
Well, you are wrong.
There is no safe haven in this part of the world.
You are not deeply rooted in European history and tradition
a well established country like Belgium or the Netherlands,
located in the heart of Western Europe, bordered by
friendly peace loving nations.
You are in between hostile Slavs instead. Tough luck!
If that was a safe haven, Poland would not have replenished
her arsenal, which is probably now 3 times higher then it was
at the fall of communism. And we are barely half the way..
to the point when we will be capable to deploy nukes.
A little mental excercise for you, 'what if' style mind game..
Scenario 1
2020 a.d. - Russian troops enter northern Lithujnia in long
tank columns to carve a corridor to Kaliningrad zone and
take Klajpeda/Memel on the way as their rightful WW2 trophy.
Lithujnia is cut off from the north and west by 80 km wide
Russian owned and controlled strip land.
That 0.7 mio or so Lithujnian inhabitants are removed in no time
beyond the zone.
Scenario 2
2017 a.d. - Russian troops invade all of Pribaltika to prevent
human rights violations happening to Russian minorities, and
to overthrow local fascist juntas, who for last 12 years were
celebrating openly their WW2 nazi period.
I am sure you know the moving story of 20 mio or so poor
Russian victims of the Nazis and WW2 atrocities. Hlip!
What happens then, world war perhaps? Hah hah hah,
I can tell you with certainity, nothing happens, the world,
including EU and NATO, accepts new status quo.
Mind you, there are some other countries aside Russia,
which could exploit such scenarios to their benefits.
You think that history is over, and you can get away
with your crimes, and I tell you it's not.
Have faith in Mr Sergiey Ivanow and his successors.
They will come up with something, I am sure of that.
