Maybe that's the difference: Armenia is in Europe but Georgia is in Asia. (The line

Ignorance sure opens up a lot of possibiliies unavailable to the
educated.

Don't be hasty. Even the most learnèd opinions are divided about
where to draw the line between Europe and Asia (referring to the part
from the Balck Sea to the Urals). If eastern Turkey is definitely
considered part of Asia, then why would Georgia and Armenia have to be
considered part of Europe? And what about Azerbaijan?

Yes, you are right: it is subject to debate.

As far as your question why Arminia is doing so much better than
Gerogia goes:

More intelligence
Less corruption
Competent governemnt
Government concentrates on its duties, not on demagogical rhetoric
Triesto avoid hostilities, while Georgia starts them
No desire to occupy ethnic minorites

And of course, it's time to return Transdniestria to its rightful owner, Ukraine, or give it independence
that 97% of the population desire.

The Ukrainians shouldn't accept such an offer unless 97% of the
russophones are repatriated to kurva mat rossiya.

Most of these russophones have lived there for 2000 years. Half of
Ukraine iself are such russophones. Why do you treat russian-speaking
ukrainians from ukrainian-speaking ukrainians?

Russians want all residents of Russia to speak Russian - or get out.

Tell me, GK, why do you have to make sure that every word you say
about Russia is a lie?

Give me any evidence that the government of Russia demands that all
Russian citizens and legal residents must "speak Russian - or get
out".

Why can't Ukrainians want all residents of Ukraine to speak Ukrainian
- or get out?

For the same reason why the Republic of Ireland can't want all
residents of Ireland to speak Gaelic or get out.

How about you, GK? You live in Quebec. Your first language is not
French but English. Should they throw you out if they find out that
you post in English to Usenet or that you sometimes speak English in
public?

Do you also want to repatriate all anglophones out of Ireland to kurva mat England?

Since you mention it, Ulster should definitely be part of Eire. Those
unhappy with the unification of Eire would probably be happier in
mother England.

That's not my question. My question is: do you want all residents of
Ireland, who insist on speaking English, be thrown out of Ireland?

Look, some stone age countires like Moldova and Gerogia insist that
everybody must speak Moldovan/Gerogian. But what do they get: Uganda-
style economy and ethnic regions declaring independence. "Goergia for
Georgians!" was the chauvinist slogan of the first Georgian President
Gamsakhurdia, which led to the declaration of independence by ethnic
regions.

Smarter republics like Transdniestria do differently: they declared
Ukrainian, Moldovan and Russian as official languages. And Canada was
also wise and declared English and French as official languages.
