He better did not. Because the trains in Belorussia had *always* "run
on time". They are this kind of people: down to earth, pragmatic and
with high standard work ethics. Lukashenko or not, Soviets or not, and
whoever will come in the future. Lukashenko kinda expired, he was OK in
90ties to preserve country from Western sharks and local scam artists,
but now they need somebody who knows how to liberalize economy. It's a
good time to start because genocidal poverty isn't a threat anymore.
They were very poor in 90-ties but with social system intact didn't
suffer as much as the neighbors and now money started to pour over in
from Russia,- after all Belorussia one of the most used "bridges" to
Europe and most of it economy based on trade with Russia, which now has
a lot of money to spend. They will be very much just fine in five years.
And concerning the cars - one doesn't need it there as much as in
Russia, their public transport system is working all right. In Russia it
doesn't, you need wheels to move around. It's not so much about money.

VM.

What a generosity ! VM allows Belorussians the luxury of Russian
leftovers !
Not forgetting, of course, to teach the menials a lesson: you shall not
covet a car.

Does it get any more chauvinistic than that ?
