Predictable and dissapointing results of scb preliminary listenings on
Belorussian affair. If not for an ugly issue of the argument it would be
even funny.

It's very interesting also from view point of collective effort to build
a wall of denial.
Let's look at the bricks used:

Stage 1. There was/were no such conversation(s). The whole thing is a
Russian made fake.

a) Common sense says so (Vello).
b) Russian actors did it (Martin).
c) Lithuanians are not so stupid (Henry).
d) "you'll (me- VM.) be due a fitting at your nearest tinfoil helmet
outlet" (Vidas).
e) "this is all crap..." (Hu - not the president).
f) " :)))" (not semantic but I dared to interpret - Estland).
g) "...piece of ***...Leontiev creature..." (Ladzius).

As impressive as the arguments are they were flushed down the toilet by
aknowledgement of one of two Lithuanian official that the coversations
did took place (let's remember that on the other end an official too - a
Georgian overseeing his country secret services). He denied however that
it was about organizing a murder (later to be blamed on Russians),
saying that the recodring was sliced and shuffled. The second Lithuanian
official refused to be interviewed.

Stage 2. There was/were such conversations on a record. But the
recordings were sliced and shuffled. The whole thing is a Russian made
fake.

Here everything goes to Martin. He even found helpfull to bring in
Nyquist-Kotelnikov theorem. Bravo! Everybody else, including Vello, so
far just a shadow of Martin's perfomance.

Now one particular point of interest is ignored die hard style - last
ditch defence? There is nothing more simple than to prove that
hypothesis - examine the recordings!

So why the recordings were not subjected to expertise on authenticity?
What could be a better way to expose evil pathetic Leontiev conspiracy?

Let's wait for a stage three. It's becoming more and more interesting.

If this is such a credible issue,

I am sorry Martin, issue cannot be credible or not, it can be important or not.

ask yourself this one question: Why
is there absolutely zero information in the Western news media? Zero,
zip, nada, nothing. Is the entire western news media, from the US, to
Europe to Australia, co-conspirators in this cover-up?

I can only guess, obviously. Tabloids are not interested - it's not a sex scandal. (would Targamadze promised to have gay sex with Milinkevich then this would all over the place). And the players are not significant for an average reader - who gives a damn what's going on between three small countries?
For the establishment papers the issue is too thorny, if not just dangerous. You see small countries are usually raised up in status not when it's time to get a share of cake but when it's time to pay a bill.

Among all the fog around that story one person is coming out as a clear beneficiary - Putin. He got such an ace in his pocket now. Euros only can curse the day and hour when they took Georgians aboard the Belorussian "democratization". Well, next time they'll better think before jump. As Leontiev said:"I don't have a proof that he (Targamadze -VM.) had <serious> intentions to kill Milinkevich. <But> I have a proof that he is a cretin and degenarate to use international phone line for such conversations."

VM.

P.S. Did I mention one story the revered papers of the West I never saw mentioned? About "accidental" death of the Saakashvili first prime minister who started to move the center of power onto himself?

Martin
