Fantazy begets fantazy. A point from my personel experience.
When I was in the last year of may graduate education
a coleague 'defected' as one might say, from the field
of atomic power to fusion power. I well remember his
words, 'you guys ar going into a dead end industry. The
future is fusion power.' That was more years ago then
I care to remember. Unfortunately fantasy (at a very
much reduced pizas level) works in science as well.
Fission is a viable, developed option. Fusion is
an option which is used to delay the broad application
of the only option that works - fission.
