What am I distorting?

I get jumped on and kicked all over for daring to suggest that those
countries whih have managed to cling on to their native language are
fortunate.

Eugene suggests that it's a waste of money and you appear to suggest
that they are silly sentimental chauvinists who are turning their back
on 'empowerment'.
