US war ship rescues 8 Algerian illegal immigrants in western Algeria

A US war ship rescued 8 Algerian illegal immigrants on Saturday in the
western coast of Algeria, according to reliable sources.
The illegal immigrants who were heading for Spain were taken to
security forces at Oran port (west of Algiers).
Their boat's engine was broken down and the rough sea overturned it.
The US ship saw them and rescued them. Later, they were taken to coast
guards who transferred them to security forces at the port, said the
same sources.
An investigation has been opened into this issue while close sources
said they are in good health conditions.
The phenomenon of illegal immigration has recently increased in
western Algeria. A total of 11 men were arrested in Oran's coasts
while on Friday while 26 others were arrested in Ain Timouchent
province on Wednesday.
