You Stink!
One of the most effective and devious methods used by Management of
Mercy Lakefront Housing is the "Unit Inspection". Though the law
mandates these "Inspections" Only once per year it allows considerable
latitude is allowed "Management". Since no mandates exist,
"Management" frequently uses these ILLEGAL SEARCHES in order to keep
our residents in a constants state of TERROR! The threat to our older
and often penniless residents is that they shall be evicted if they
fail three consecutive inspections.and persecutions of this manner
have I fact taken place and left helpless residents out on the street
with nothing. If you refuse entry, the goons that operate Mercy
Lakefront SRO will go so far as to break down the door and threaten to
beat the hell out of you!
Since the definition of "Clean" is ambiguous at best and often fails,
"Management" resorts to the grammar school tactic of odors and/or the
'hygiene' paradigm that is so widely used in the shelter system.
Since these unfounded accusations of "Bad smell", "foul odor", etc
are
designed to demoralize and depress our older and helpless residents,
they are often placed in a state of fear and depression.
This 56 year old Devout Roman Catholic and American Patriot has been
the victim of:
- 10/18/2007 - Attempted Illegal Search (er, Inspection) with no
Notice Given - entry refused
- 08/27/2007 - Repeated Illegal Search coming only one week after
FAILED "Inspection" of 08/20/2007 - "Management" avers that this
Devout Roman Catholic has "FECES ON CHAIR' FLOOR AND TABLE"!
- 07/12/2007 - Illegal Search resulting in a FAIL that avers GREASE ON
FLOOR AND TABLE - all of course STINK!
- 08/24/2007 - Request from Abuse (er, Case Manager) D. Williams to
discuss "Odors" coming from room - YOU STINK!
- 5,6l7/2006 - A mysterious $33.00 appears on the rent statement of
this STINKY 56 year old resident. repeated emails to Mercy Lakefront
HQ are ignored and a "Termination of Tenancy" notice is issued by
"Property Manager" B. DaFart on 06/21/2007 - after consultations with
my Attorney and "Management" the matter was FINALLY STRAIGHTENED
OUT!
- 08/22/2006 - ILLEGAL SEARCH States "Unit has BAD SMELL"
All of these "Inspections" VIOLATE OUF FOURTH AMENDMENTS RIGHTS and
are ONLY USED TO TERRORIZE OUR REISDENTS!
When they are used to level UNFOUDED AND ABUSIVE ACCUSATIONS OF "ODOR"
and "HYGIENE" THEY CONSITUTE ELDER ABUSE AND HARRASSMENT!
This is what Chicago Law states In Title V - 5- 12-050 Landlord's
Pight Of Access.
A tenant shah not unreasonably withhold consent to 'the landlord to
enter the dwelling unit:
(a) to make necessary or agreed repairs, decorations, alterations or
improvements;
(b) to supply necessary or agreed services;
(c) to conduct inspections authorized or required by any government
agency;
(d) to exhibit the dwelling unit to prospective or actual purchasers,
mortgagees,
workmen or contractors;
(e) to exhibit the dwelling unit to prospective tenants 60 days or
less prior to the
expiration of the existing rental agreement;
(f) for practical necessity where repairs or maintenance elsewhere in
the building unexpectedly require such access;
(g) to determine a tenant's compliance with provisions in the rental
agreement; and (h) in case of emergency.
The landlord shall not abuse the right of access or use it to harass
the tenant Except in cases where access is authorized by subsection (4
or (h) of this section, the landlord shall give the tenant notice of
the landlord's intent to enter of no less than two days.
Such notice shall be provided directly to each dwelling unit by mail,
telephone, written notice to the dwelling unit, or by other reasonable
means designed in good faith toprovide notice to the tenant. If access
is required because of repair work or common facilities or other
apartments, a general notice may be given by the landlord to all.
potentially affected tenants that entry may be required. In cases
where access is authorized by subsection (f) or (h) of this section,
the landlord may enter the dwelling unit without notice or consent of
the tenant. The landlord shall give the tenant notice of such entry
within two days after such entry.

The landlord may enter only at reasonable times except in case of an
emergency. An entry between 8:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M. or at any other
time expressly requested by the tenant shah be presumed reasonable.

Obviously "Management" of Mercy Lakefront has been (and will doubtless
continue) ABUSING THEIR RIGHT OF ACCESS AND IT'S ALL INTENDED TO KEEP
OUR RESIDENT IN A STATE OF TERROR!
The vast majority of our residents don't know anything about Se
ection 5-12-150 of this same ordinance that PROHIBITS RETALIATORY
CONDUCT BY THE LANDLORD:
Of course these ILLEGAL SEARCHES are used to conceal CONTINUED LAW
BREAKING AND ABUSE ON THE PART OF MERCY LAKEFRONT "MANAGEMENT" - such
as their DENIAL OF SERVICES RESULTING IN CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT,
ACUTE VIOLATIONS OF Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights, the Equal
Access Act, the Elder Abuse Act, their RACIAL DISCRIMINATION IN
EMPLOYMENT IN VIOLATION OF THE Equal Employment Opportunity Act and
Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and a lot more - and it's all
designed to keep our older residents in a CONSTANT STATE OF TERROR!
Remember that:
a.) For FOUR YEARS this 56 year old Devout Roman Catholic with a gun
shot wound in his left leg has been FORCED to walk up to seven miles a
day just to get his EMAIL - I have been DENIED Access by the Sadistic
Racists that operate Mercy's ETE Center in total violation of US LAWS
b.) For Three Years Mercy Lakefront has continued to support radical
political causes and given free reign to DANGEROUS ISLAMIC TERRORISTS
and has allowed them to use their facilities while TERRORIZING anyone
who dares to expose them
c.) For TWO Years Mercy Lakefront has sought to BLOCK my efforts to
UPDATE MY JOB SKILLS WITH ADDITIONAL EDUCATION and has even had the
GALL TO REFUSE TO ALLOW ME TO DO COURSE WORK FOR PAERLEGAL CLASSES I
WAS ALREADY REGISTERED FOR AT ROOSEVELT UNIVERSITY.
Of course, if you don't like it, they'll just KICK YOU OUT INTO THE
STREET!
AND YOU ARE PAYING FOR IT WITH YOUR TAX DOLLARS!!!
