My Response... White WOman and Black Man

I find it hilarious that a majority of response in regards to a
question asked to WHITE WOMEN... was answered by men. Wow..i didnt
know men had such a good reality of how white women felt. Well let me
clarify why i date black men. (keep in mind i have been successfully
dating the same black man for qutie some time)

Let me start out by saying there are many different types of black
men- and women do not just date black men solely because they look
black on the outside. The type of black men i date are very particular
and I have not found this type of black man in a white man ..so
therefore i have quit looking.

(when reading the following keep in mind that i do not mean all white
men, and i am talking about a specific type of black men)

1. I find that the type of black men that I like have strong religious
backgrounds. very few white men spend an entire sunday afternoon
praising the lord (and doing it in a way that entertwines religion,
gospel, and music in a way that doesnt lull me to sleep) and then
spend some quality time with their families after.

2. I find that the respect white men have for their families is
disappointly low in comparrison to that of a GOOD black man, I find
that the type of black men i am attracted to do not engage in
belittling their families by means of using profanity or disrespect in
the presence of their parents. Knowing when to turn on and off the
"street talk" and language that is appropraite amongst friends only
shows that they are committed to respecting their parents regards. And
studies show that a man who respects his mother will have agreater
respect for his wife/female companion.

3. I find that African American culture is far more rich (as in with
traditions, not money wise) then that of white peoples. They engage in
more family bonding activities including reunions and traditional
holidays and actually enjoy one anothers company and look forward to
seeing their families (yes i am still speaking about the type i like)

4. I am more interested in the hip hop culture and the styles of
smooth R&b and feel i can relate to them where as most white men are
into rock and other types that i couldnt stand to listen to on a daily
basis.

5. (not tru for all women, just me) I have found that a majority of
black men are far less hairy then those of other cultures, as a woman
who despises hair because i feel it is not to hygenic i like the clean
look of a man better.

6. (this one is a little shallow, but hey) there is some truth in the
stereotype that most ethnicites are afraid of black men, so knowing
that when i am asleep at night, or walking down the street with my
black counterpart i am better protected then i would be if I dated a
white man. This could also be true in the case that commonly white men
are afraid of black men, and i cannot be with a man who lives in fear.

7. **The Superficial reasons** they are known for having better
complexions and needing to wear less makeup then white women, and i
would love to pass these genes on to my children. THE TYPE I LIKE**
tend to be in better shape physically and mentally which helps lead to
a healthier longer life. I despise any black man that uses the word
Nigg* as a term on endearment or otherwise (this should help specifiy
the type of black men as well) but I DO NOT DATE THE BLACK MEN THAT
ARE CAUGHT UP IN THE NEED TO FIT IN WITH THE WHITE FOLK mantality.

8. They are better athletes and a good black man can serve as a
positive rolemodel to my children and encourage them to play sports,
which in turn will give them an outlet to do something fun and
positive and stay away from the street gangs and violence. I f a child
has something to do with their time, they are less likely to get into
trouble.

There is alot to be said about a white washed brother, but at the same
time i find myself not liking white men, so i steer clear from the
white washed brother because he is just emulating what he sees in his
white counterpart.I cannot speak for all white women because I am not
the white woman who will pick up the black men that the black women
have deemed trash (you know, the gansters, thugs, wannabe thugs,
druggies, low-lives, gold diggers etc.) To determine why a person of
any race is attracted to someone of any other race is clearly up to
personal opinions and their own discretions. One man/womans trash is
another mans treasures. The traits you deem not desireable could be
somethign someone else craves. To ask one person to justify their
reasonings for picking their mate is a difficult task for anyone
involved. SO let me flip the script.. Why do you choose to ONLY date
white women? (or whatever type of women it is you date?)
