Suspect In Linebacker Stabbing Had Criminal Past

(AP) RANDALLSTOWN, Md. The man charged with stabbing Ravens linebacker
Roderick Green has a history of crime and mental illness, WJZ.COM has
learned.

WJZ's Dennis Edwards has learned that 21-year-old Chase Williams, who
lives with his mother, has a long arrest record that includes charges of
domestic violence, drug possession with intent to distribute and
possession of drug paraphernalia. There are also commitment and
protective orders and requests for psychiatric evaluations by his
mother.

Green was apparently assaulted inside AMF's King Point Bowling Center in
Randallstown after accidentally bumping into Williams.

Police say Green bumped into another bowler while inside, prompting an
altercation between the two men. Green went outside where he was
stabbed.

Officers arrested Williams Wednesday night at a friend's home in the
1900 block of Penrose.

Friends tell Edwards they are surprised by the charges against Williams.

"It just don't sound like him," says Mark Hopps. "It must have been
somebody else."

WJZ.COM has learned that most of the cases against Williams were either
dropped or dismissed. There was at least one probation before judgment
and a sentence of community service.

Williams has been denied bond. A bail review is scheduled tomorrow.
