In article <20060210191822.M12205@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, xeno says...
Well, yes they do because less weapons means less people are going to
killed by firearms.
So then murder isn't an issue, only murder with guns?
My godsister's boyfriend stabbed her to death. Is she not really dead, or is it
just not important because a gun wasn't used?
Owning weapons violate no one's rights.
That depends on the context. Intimadating people with the weapons ones
owns is violating other people's rights.
1. Is it ok to intimidate somebody with a steak knife? If not, is it ok to take
EVERYBODY'S steak knives so that no individual can?
2. Whose rights are violated by a woman using a firearm to intimidate a strange
man who has kicked in her door? Remember, the police are quite busy sodomizing
Black men with mop handles, holding hurricane refugees at gunpoint to keep them
from escaping, and shooting war veterans for obeying their commands. Of course
they have no legal duty to protect you in the first place and can't be held
liable if they don't.
