In article <5b5iu195vjink98er9r3uvr8bf0c2qk8lk@xxxxxxx>, trudogg says...
1. I don't expect Diane Feinstein to speak at the next NRA convention either.
..not exactly the same thing...not even close. The NRA was a decent,
useful organization until they started using fear and paranoia to
advance their cause and bank accounts.
It's EXACTLY the same thing. It's appearing in a profoundly hostile venue, with
no conceiveable positive return.
As for the NRA, "fear and paranoia" of WHAT? Gun bans, like those in Chicago
and San Francisco? Or warrantless searches in public housing? How about
illegal gun confiscations in New Orleans?
2. He payed his respects and left. If he hadn't people would have complained
about that too. If you dislike him enough, there's nothing he's going to do
that will satisfy you. I feel the same way about Michael Moore and David Duke.
I don't like Moore or Duke either and Bush is close to both of them in
different ways. Although he isn't as smart as Moore, he does have many
of the same supporters that Duke does.
Moore isn't smart at all. He's just a good con man. If you look at his record,
he's done and said some pretty stupid things. And ALL of the Duke supporters I
see in usenet and elsewhere hate Bush's guts. I think it has something to do
with having two Black Secretaries of State and not gassing all of the Mexicans.
I could be wrong...
