Does anyone know the level of Roman infiltration?

Since some of us are observing special disciplines during this time of
mourning between the 17 of Tammuz and the 9th of Av something has come
to mind. What was the level of Roman infiltration into the Jewish
hierarchy during the period 100 years before and 100 years after the
destruction of the 2nd Temple?

The reason I ask this question is because of the discussion on women
and gentiles learning Torah.

I think those of non-Hebrew blood would be the greatest advocates of
Torah ignorance.

Ask yourself this question; would you rather everyone Jew or non-Jew
alike have a Torah education in order so that those persons with the
Torah education be able to accommodate Jews in our observance of the
Mitzvoth or would you rather people be ignorant of the Torah and not
able to accommodate us in our observance of the Mitzvoth.

Mind you, during the periods in question the Romans worshiped not one
God but gods. It would serve the Romans best that the Torah not be
taught at all and the open and free abrogation of the Mitzvoth be not
only justified by Caesar but also the Jewish leadership. So when the
doctrine of the New Testament took hold where abrogation of the
Mitzvoth became a basic premise in Christianity, Jews that forbade the
teaching of the Torah would be ideal and appreciated subjects of the
Roman Empire and the new Christian religion that came into being about
300 years after the destruction of the 2nd Temple.

What I'm leading you to is the concept of Roman Jews in comparison to
Hebrew Jews. Of course the Roman Jews would not want the Torah taught
especially if it meant that those who learned Torah were unwilling to
accept the obscenity of the Roman Government where as the Hebrew Jews
only realized a government from the yoke of the Torah directly passed
down from generation to generation through the men of the great
assemble.

So now let's look at ourselves today. Here is an example why everyone
should learn Torah. Some say it is only incumbent upon Jews to observe
the Shabbat and the non-Jews should only abide the seven Noachic Laws.
So I'm lying on my couch during Shabbat reading the week's Parsha
from my Tannach when all of the sudden I here a loud noise next door
where a non-Jews lives. I look out the widow and he is using a
jack-hammer to break up his driveway and I find that noise very
irritating on Shabbat. Do you see what I'm getting at? What if the
non-Jew would have been raised to observe the Sabbath of Judaism even
though he not being a Jew learned Torah because his family was brought
up to observe and accept the Mitzvoth of the Torah even though he is a
non-Jew?

Here is another point. If God didn't want all mankind to observe
Mitzvoth in the Torah then why did he offer her to all the nations?
Don't get me wrong, I'm saying as Jews we shouldn't force the
Mitzvoth on non-Jews but anyone Jewish or non-Jewish alike that asks a
Jew that he be allowed to learn Torah should be allowed to learn Torah.
And how does one teach Torah? You take a pasuk and say, "This is
how I understand this." For example you can teach the Torah in the
past tense, the present tense or the future tense and that you really
feel strong and Jewish and Israeli you live the Torah each day. You
find the Mishcan and you live the Torah.

If you want to classify people in terms of Jews and gentiles when a
person says he or she is Jewish and is sincere about it only of fool
and ignoramus would make that person saying he or she is Jewish into a
gentile. A true gentile is an enemy of any Jew and anyone with any
common sense knows it's foolish to make enemies unless of course
you're a murderer and you want to make someone into you enemy so you
can murder them. And how do we see this being done today?

Let's pretend for a minute that I'm a Jewish medical doctor and my
expertise of practice is doing heart transplants and I know a man that
has a healthy heart and I'd like to use that heart either to be
transplanted in a patient of mine of even myself if possible. But the
man with the heart says he's a Jew. So I decide I'm going to kill
the man with the heart but first I have to convince him and others that
he is not a Jew so when I murder him or have him murdered I can justify
the act as a killing and not a murder, because I'm wicked and evil
and I'd murder an innocent person to keep myself alive or to make a
buck by transplanting a fellow human beings heart in a my paying
patient to make a buck, in fact to make lots of bucks.

That Jewish doctor would have to be a Roman Jew and not a Hebrew Jew.
So I ask does anyone know the level of Roman infiltration achieved
during the 2nd Temple period and now during the rebirth of the Nation
of Israel?

One last thing before I sign off. I'm not pretending to be a
prophet, although I've seen the Shekinah on Eretz Israel Hashem has
never spoken to me from the Shekinah. But I do know about the power of
the word. If I say 'something' and I keep my word true than I will
that 'something' to happen with the help of God.

So I write to you that the Jewish, Israeli Hebrew people will always
keep, guard, teach and honor the words of the Torah that God gave to
Moshe Rabbenu.

Shalom,
Amen Selah,
Israel Argaman Tekhelet Ben Avraham
