I'm a male and am attending a Jewish wedding as a guest in a few weeks. The
wedding will be at the Baltimore Museum of Industry (so I assume it's indoors)
at 5 pm. I was planning on wearing a black suit (seems like that's a safe
color for weddings), but I found a couple of postings on the internet where
people have said that it is not appropriate to wear black to a Jewish wedding.
Is this true? What about other dark colors? The only other suit I have is
navy blue, but it's so dark that it looks black.
Are you sure the prohibition you read about was for *men*
wearing black? I am no expert on Jewish weddings, so I hope someone
will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't ever recall hearing a
prohibition on men wearing black at a Jewish wedding.
