I would suggest that your daughter consider where she wants to work
following graduation. I would give the nod toIrvineif she intended to
start her career in Southern California, and SLO for Santa Barbara and
points north. But it's still close in my estimation.

Location is one factor...another factor is the prestige of a UC
compared to the degree from a Cal Poly Cal state College.

Is the college program nearly same in both colleges. I took a look at
the courses and both seem to be nearly the same.

That is the big reason for the dillemna
