college admissions after going through the process with her own
daughter, Nora.

If colleges doubt or mistrust the surveys published by USN&WR, or by
others, it might be a good idea for colleges to post the responses
they have submitted. There should also be a disclaimer, stating that
the college does not know in what manner the publication claims to
rank the submissions, and that questions about the rankings should be
directed to the publication.
