I am not sure what you mean... Are you referring to some ocular
disorders which may inhibit seeing through a microscope? For example,
I have floaters which often obstruct my view through a microscope.
Otherwise, no everyone should be able to "observe through a
microscope". As long as the microscope can resolve whatever you are
trying to look at. Perhaps I've misread or misunderstood what you were
asking.
Also, if you take an extension or distance course, it is unlikely you
will be using lab equipment.

This is not specifically about admissions, but more to the point of
qualifications for study.
I took HS biology in 1954-5. The teacher stated that some people were
unable to observe through a microscope. I was one of those people.
Since then I have heard an opinion to the contrary of my HS teacher's.
Does someone know what the current belief is? I ask because I may some
year choose to take an extension course to learn what biology is or
does, rather than what someone says biology is about.
