I disagree. Because as far as they are concerned our actual position
doesn't even exist. They will re-interpret whatever new word we use to
fit what they imagine we are. And that will become the common usage
meaning whether we like it or not.
For example, when I tell people I'm an atheist, they want to know what
religion my parents are so that they can still assign me to it. Most
people don't have atheist as a category.
