Huh? Wrong, WRONG! You can only have a dual citizenship in the
U.S. and some other country by circumstance of birth. You CANNOT
become a naturalized U.S. citizen and maintain dual status.

Not true. You can maintain triple and quadruple status for all the US governments cares and knows.


As part of the oath, a new citizen must pledge "to renounce and abjure
absolutely and entirely all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign
prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which the
applicant was before a subject or citizen."

So? This poetic announcement can hardly be taken as a requirement to renounce any other citizenship before or after acquiring the American citizenship, as indeed even the US government agrees by implicitly and explicitly acknowledging the dual citizenship of hundreds of thousands of its citizens. Google for examples.
