Here is another teaser for ya ... Where does coal tar have absorption
features between 400-2500nm.  It is the primary pollutant at one of the
superfund sites near New Orleans.

Coal tar is a witches brew of compounds. Its composition is variable, depending on the starting material of the manufacture and the details of processing.


Your efforts may be well-intentioned, but you are in over your head, so to speak.
