help for stata

Hi everyone,
i am a sas user and i start up to stata recently. i have a ".do" file
and i want to execute it on a ".dta" file. i first opened the data
(".dta" file), then run ".do" file. however on the "results" session
there appears r(601) error ("file bb.dta not found"). but i can get the
summary statistics for the "bb.dta". what can i do to execute the ".do"
file on my data.
