Thank you everybody for your advice and insight into my questions.
Admittedly, I had not thought about some of the issues you have all
raised, such as Rich Ulrich's question about the means, and your posts
have definitely helped me to consider all these different aspects of
the problem. I need to sit down and take a good look at the data I
have, do a bit more reading on some of these topics, and do some
preliminary analysis to help narrow down what I'm trying to show. But
you all have given me lots of help and ideas in seeing what direction I
need to go with this!
