mimic vs mean structure?

hi, what is the difference between the mimic and mean structures model in SEM?
say, i have 50 indicator variables for 6 latent factors. i wan to know if difference sexes or difference ages will lead to difference (mean) values/scores of the latent factors. should i use mimic model or mean structures model?
