Here are to-day's TLE's (two-line elements) for the ISS.
perhaps you can do something with them.
Well if they're update more then once in mintute then send me link to
them (http://celestrak.com/NORAD/elements/stations.txt - ?).
I hope I can grab from them lat an lon.
What you see is what you get, and after 9/11 we are extremely lucky to
get these. Homeland security wanted and tried to shut down access to ALL
sat TLE's
Did not know that.
There is a gentleman in Canada that generates TLEs as well, but I doubt
that you would get him to generate continous sets.
Really ,,
I am not sure what you are asking for, once you get a set of current
TLE's you can plug them into a existing program or write your own
program to output what you desire, I know one guy that has written a
good Windows program, but myself I prefer the DOS program, since it runs
much faster in DOS on my laptop that we take to the field to view
sat passes. I use Windoze, but .....not a fan..
I am going to write C app that will generate kml file for Google Earth that will show ISS posision on Earth in real time (1 min. interval or less if it is possible).
Well app is ready, but only works with GPS data (gga, rmc). If I can get lat/lon from somewhere then its easy to write simple kml file.
I am using Linux...a fan ;]
Can someone show me the easiest way how to get lat/lon from TLE?
