One more thing I thought I might throw in here.

Although I never said the photos _WERE_ of Bigfoot,
or even that Bigfoot existed, I was keeping it open that it
_might_ still exist. There is no place for dogmatism
in science -- and that includes dogmatic denial as well
as dogmatic acceptance.

Dogmatic denial is not what you are running into here. What you are running
into is a sort of tired, angry cynicism. And it is entirely justified. It is
not cynicism against you personally, it is against the type of evidence you
are presenting; bad photographs, hearsay evidence, and hand-me-down
misrepresentations of the truth. This is the sort of evidence that is endly
presented and has endlessly been shown to be worthless.

The "keep an open mind" attitude you speak of, while laudable (and certainly
neccesary), can only go so far: if you constantly look at the same type of
crappy evidence over and over again, while disregarding what came before,
you will only run in circles - you'll learn and accomplish NOTHING. The
"YAWN - we've seen this all before" attitude is therefore not dogmatism, but
practicality.

As for my two cents on the photos themselves: The website's pronouncement
that the camera is a Bushnell does nothing to impress me - want to really
impress me? Try Leica or Zeiss... even so, a photograph ultimately depends
on the skill of the photographer and the person processing the photos - even
if every step along the way is automated, as automation too is ultimately
dictated by human judgement.

Neither are permissible and
that is why I wanted to give these photos a fair shake.
Maybe it wasn't Bigfoot in the end, but that's not the
point.
