What annoys the hell out of me is the pisspoor quality of the camera
gear that these 'researchers' use.

That's because the guy was not a researcher or even pretending
to be one. He was a hunter wanting to hunt deer. You can read
that on the site. So then of course he would not be using a high-
quality camera. You don't NEED a high quality camera to hunt
deer!

Odd. I don't know anyone who uses a camera, high quality or otherwise, to
hunt dear. I do know quite a few who use rifles and crossbows. :-)
