Love to trade places with any one of them.

If you did, I think you would probably end up inside Phil's head,
which is probably where most if not all of these exist. Even allowing
for the obvious correction to yearly rate rather than hourly, I'd be
very interested in hearing specifics of ANY situations where a county
employee is drawing $100k to $150k per year in retirement starting at
age 51. Surely if there are many such cases, some could be identified
and specifics given?

er alex...its been head line noooz in many of calif's major papers
on occasion over the last 4 years... lA times, SF chron
its a non secret. with the names and amounts of many. heavily
stifled though by the civil service unions... this is done by a
practice called 'spiking'... that is the retirement is based solely on
the last years pay so the last year guys get max over time, and save
up their days off etc for pay etc... then accoridng to calif state
law, retire at 90% of that... (its 100% in NYC).......

dog has also posted on recent reports in his local paper I believe.

and its not just polce, fire and prision guards but a broad spectrum
into the courts also.... one woman detailed in the SF chron arctilce
retired at age 68 with 170,000 dollars a year in state pension...
one of the hospital security guards, 158k. SF's chief of police,
Fagin, (later arrested with his son brawling in a nevada casino, the
son a cop also arrested for mugging a guy for his lunch (found
innocent though)... was fire for corruption, and retired at $256,000
per year.

these lie and claim its from their own contributions...not
triue. City of SF recently reported fully half of its fire and
safety budget is going to retirement and medical care costs for its
retirees...'thus the potholes we cant affort to fix'....

thats just how it is bud.
