Well, a lot of hippie-freaks, yippies did that without the Satanic stuff.
Most of the satanic folks I knew of over the years, were typically
high school kids trying to get attention for themselves. Overall it's
relatively rare to come across folks older than 25 or 30, who are
still into all that satanic stuff.
go and google on witchcraft. I did this last year. They have conferences, picnics, etc., even places where they will watch your kids while you eat, listen to lectures, seminars, etc.
In related matters, the guy who wrote the Satanic Bible was found to
be a complete fraud all along. A lot of the stuff in that book was
plagiarized from numerous sources without giving credit.

Yeah, I heard about some of that. But, we dont' have an crucifixes here, right side up or upsidedown, no hex signs, etc.
So, I can watch my birds and squirrels and "envy" their simple lives.
In a slightly sordid way, at times I wonder whether being ignorant and/
or "uneducated" is an easier path to follow in life.
There is something to that old saying "ignorance is bliss". Long ago someone said to me: sometimes its not good to think too much. Yeah. Sometimes. Hence, the birds and squirrels. We also get deer here, we both like to watch them as long as they are around. Grazing over the septic field for some reason, and we have a "drink" for them we keep full of water.
Many of the
really unintelligent and downright "stupid" folks I knew growing up,
still have a child-like optimism of the world and life. It's as if
many of them have the mind of a 13 or 14 year old, in a 40 or 50 year
old person's body.
Don't forget those Roman Emperors; Durant had a sentence somewhere: none of them died happy. Pericles died before the Peloponesian war ended and he was not happy as some sickness hit him, too, and he never recovered.
