Anyone paying attention to the Iran war talk coming out of the White House
(eg. this week's The Week, page 20: "Iran: Countdown to World War III"?).
Deja Vu all over again eh?
These idiots never learn!!!
We have Roman Emperors in the White House. The history books have
described many of them as being confused in the sense that many of them,
at one time or another, for longer or shorter periods, to greater or
lessor extents, thought they, themselves, were gods. Serious ego problems
there.
Anyone want to make any wagers on whether there might be mysterious cruise
missle attacks on any Iranian facilities, or other Iranian assets, at some
time in the future? After all, the White House gave us all the warnings,
before, about Iraq, many many months before they went in.
Dejavu? Reminds me of the Peloponesian war (2300+) years ago. Athens made
war (of attrition) on Sparta. And, lost.
The Spartans were tough SOBs. Like Jim Croce sang, "You
don't tug on Superman's cape. You don't spit into the wind.
You don't tug the mask on that ol' Lone Ranger, and you
don't mess around with Spartans." Or something like that. :-)
I wonder if the administration looks at the map and sees it
like a Monopoly board and figures if they invade three
contiguous countries (Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan) they can
charge double rent. :-)
Pardon me...I appreciate your joke...but...I was talking about our
"glorious" leaders in terms that they must be thinking they were Roman
Emperors, gods, or with unlimited power (we do have military power
greater than the rest of the world put together). Then, I talked about NSD
51, which essentially makes it legal for the prez to become dictator. :=|
OK, I'll make this one joke: the only things missing are the concubines.

I think we can sell
microprocessor-controlled
tempered steel fly swatters to many in govt
today, guaranteed
Never use _guaranteed_. But, work your language, PR, and semantics to make
it look like they are invincible.
More at the end...
to absolutely *crush flies.. probably these could
have long cushioned handles and extra wide 5 lb swatting surfaces...
pure might.
we have about the same thing going with our huge arsinals, regardless
we needed them to stand off other ruthlessly insane morons.
It is imperitive that a person see the humor in this and also not fear
the onslaught of these morons once they begin overtly canibalizing
their own population worse than they are now (masked by hyperinflating
property and the bogus loan mess, thats floating the boat these days0
, . now thats a real test.
Maybe if enough people in our major cities start whining our govt can
bomb them back to the stone so they an and operate in peace.
pure brilliance, these people. .. in the end they end up like A
hitler, trying to strangle themselves as they grow more insane by the
the millisecond. (the mechanism is the act of rationalizing ones
error, misprograms the brain, which then goes south at warp speed).
Some of our current enemies have already recognised that for all the
bluster, and blast, we cannot even dent their ranks
You forgot one thing.......
...in the final
phases such a nations own people see that.... fear has a short half
life.
....we've still got tens of thousands of nuclear bombs, more firepower in
MIRVed ICBMs, SLBMs (and the subs), plus they still fly those B-52s.

you know the enola gay is hangared at Boeing Mlitiary Aircraft in
Wichita if im not mistaken...I forgot the details, I used to walk past
every day while i was there on contract. the wings were off, just
the fusalage was in the hanger... next to the A10 composit wing
retrofit project......next door was the B1B bomber taking off every
day for tests, finally climbing from a short runway at about 45
degrees then banking wings vertical to ground at the same time with a
full load...awesome to say the least. I have a big photo print of
it signed by one of the crews. air force 1 was built there also, two
of them, with the low voltage control and high voltage flight surfaces
wiring run in the same conduits by green card guys from asia to cut
costs...wouldnt get off the ground until they rewired it.
