Yep, Newark Delaware. I have a customer near there. A year or two ago DOW (or
was it some other corporation? It was the big chemical plant there.)

Not likely. No sales tax, low RE taxes, and retirees are bailing into
Southern DE like manna from heaven (bringing all those pension cash flows
into the state...its a boom area).

I only ever get into the Newark-Wilmington area, but what I can see of
the state is definitely kind of ratty. The guys who work at my customer's site
all go to Maryland beaches for vacation. Most of them also live in
Maryland and commute up to Newcastle. I don't know what my point is exactly,
other than I'm not impressed with Delaware. (FWIW)

It's OK, I'm not proud. We have 16 acres of woods here and peace and quiet like heaven and a modest retirement home in the middle of the land.

North Rehoboth, however, has blowout castles and mansions and other than that the "rich" are hard to find but they are here. Banks opening every week, medical clinics opening every week, etc.

I wouldn't mind Montana but the wife doesn't like the cold.
