A drop in the Dow of several hundred points when it's well over 13,000? Try the same amount when it was around 2,500. That happened October 19, 1987 and the same prognostications were made.
That was a very big drop -- much much more than 400/14000.
Many people needlessly panicked. I held my nose and hung on and did all right out of that, though it took a while before that happened.
It's time to look for bargains, folks.
Not yet. Dead cats don't bounce unless they fall farther.
I've got a *long* list of stocks that I'd like to add to my portfolio. It's just a question of getting them at reasonable prices, though when that happens can't be predicted. The best I can do is to check them at the end of each trading day.
