Along with my post about robber-barron-800lb-gorilla-godzilla (i.e.
Microsoft) earlier, I should tell you about RB800GG software, too.
We bought the wife a nice, new, fancy-shmantzy, glow in the dark printer
(HP 1320 or something, $400 list price before the discontinued it), and
yeah its nice. Installing the printer driver software was glitchy, but it
works, too. Funny thing, first thing it does is try to call the mother
ship. My Zone Alarm popup said "Do you give HP Printer permission to
access the internet?" (Get lost!). I "Xed" that one off for sure. And,
while it is calling the mother ship, what else is it snooping on and
reporting back?
Now, why the hell does a printer driver need 110 megabytes of disk space?
I looked around in that directory (three dozen layers deep!!!) to find all
kinds of filenames that sound like they have absolutely nothing to do with
printing! Not that many years ago, a megabyte of software was all you
need for a printer driver.
I think its part of the homeland insecurity initiatives, to be able to
trace anything. for at least 10 years now all printers and copy
machines print a code in the background, faint widely separated dots
off color spaced so that they can be used from the hard copy to trace
the machine by mfgr and serial number.
Recent copy machines log whats copied in their memories also... its
not too much of jump to assume some key word searching or
communication with the mother ship and access via govt as is currently
legal ...even illegal as practiced by the fbi.
I think your machine will end up communicating with the mothership if
you permit it to or not, via MS fixes, and other such communication,
various cookies and spyware...Id bet that some spyware is by govt and
that the firewall companies are appraoched behind the scenes and
ordered to allow it undetected.
Id bet the practice is well known. Oracles relatational data base
technology already mind boggling as far back as 1999 that I know of
and written about extensively by insiders for doing covert data mining
in over 500 languages and hundreds of different software
platforms...collating that across 25,000 screens into
files....exists...in the last 8 years though all discussion of that
beyond the fluff level has dissapeared from the web.. the approach has
certainly expanded vastly from that already devastating start....
Oracle was founded on CIA contracts..thats in their prospectus, not a
secret... currently 25% of its executive mgmt is current or 'retired'
cia... all of that of course can be justified... it is the ends though
that eventually become unjustifiable.
I had some serious experience with that range of issues, involving
Oracle and one of the cultural fringe groups the CIA is connected
with in 1999 (the CIA uses these for a range of reasons, sued by the
Greek govt in 2002 approx for such). Traced to oracle computers, then
admitted to by the idiot, an Oracle employee, and testified to by one
of his idiot associates in court. This generated over 3,000 posts to
the relevant NG's at the time, all but one or two purged from the
google archives,that should be revealing.
The brave new world is long since here...just not all of the
refinements.
Unfortunately for the brave new world, despite its very effective
control and compliance generating tactics, it will be be undone by
human nature. A study of brainwashing, mind control, Dr Delgado's
research for instance began in the late 40's, its terrifying..much of
that has been purged from the web search engines but books remain.
As such a govt becomes more controlling, it becomes self destructive.
A study of the mechanisms of such destruction is more than slightly
interesting, you can find plenty of that by searching the web...much
of it is old technology..some of the latest is done by US army
Intelligence, some of Delgado's work remains at the cutting
edge...ways to decimate the human spirit... some of this approach was
seen at AbuGraib..its leaked broadly..some of it known by various
cults for decades also..but the latest is from the US govt apparently.
It is overtly stated after ww2 (public documents Ive lost track of)
by military sources that warfare has gotten so devastating that it had
to be avoided, yet populations and nations had to be controlled...
those were the seeds of Delgado's work...its gone south from there.
There are both benign and not so benigh tactics used...
on the not so nasty side is the police tactic of culturing compliance
to authority...anyone willingly and quickly complying to increasingly
harsh police orders is allowed some grace... then its stretched as the
police become deliberately abusive to some degree... abuse then
becomes tolerated....
its been known in some quarters for almost a hundred years now that
whatever a person can be coaxed into cooperating with or doing, will
become a habit (Pavlov and some of his distant associates went
furhter),in just a few repetitions. Various things, such as
compliance under some sort of duress or threat serves more effectively
in that regard.
a person can be cultured to do damaging or degrading things to the
rest of humanity (there have been several famous experiements on this
that I dont recall but you might)... these are 'necessary
'characteristics of course in some areas... some aspects of business
and war, such as torture....the person doing that becomes the host of
degradation, ruined to the core himself.
There is some recent expose of the skull and bones society at Yale
univ. on that topic and a recent movie...recently on U tube a woman
who was inside that mess wrote a book on the tactics used to degrade
and compromise those pledges...Im not up on that..but its searchable.
tacit agreement as with a failure to object to or even just allow
oneself to witness any particular advertizing, establishes these
cultural agreements...such as 'everyone should have a nice car'
etc. the unintended ramifications of such things go out of control..
family is sacrifed for instance in that persuit etc.
these are the milder mental aspects of the mess. Delgado got into the
spiritual aspects, ways to ruin a person to the core, well past the
area of mental considerations.
Fortunately there is a cure for this ...it is amazing..simple...bullet
proof...free.. and limitelssly rewarding. In a nutshell cease lying
to oneself (and others), primarily ones self - for instance I might
say 'I know 90% of what there is to know about ____'
when maybe I do know 90% of whats in the books so to speak. On a
scale of absolutes though, down to the sub atomic structures, what is
an electron you might say,I am 99.99% clueless. No one alive knows
what an electron is today. All we have is theories...and an
understanding of the gross function. We dont know the real skinny
though, or understand gravity at that level. We are clueless.
only when that mask of bogusness is removed is advance possible.
if I assume the lie as true, and ignore what I have no clue about I
become a self limiting and self brainwashing idiot. Once self
brainwashed like that, a person is putty in the hands of those trying
to control him.
That control is always seen on close inspection as composed all or
partially of error, deceit, attempts to manipulate or outright lies.
If one does not lie to himself, he sees lies in others and is not
subject to being affected by them.
