And then we've got Future Shop up here. Years ago, it used to be a good

Yes. The guys who ran Futureshop knew what the books looked like, and
decided to cash out when they had the best opportunity. They haven't
changed the old Futureshop stores to Best Buy yet in town here.
What's an amusing anomaly is that on one busy shopping strip here,
there's actually a Best Buy and a Futureshop next door to one another
on the same street. Basically they were built before the merger
happened. I wouldn't be surprised if they close down a bunch of
futureshop stores in town here, once the economy goes to crap.


Although I haven't seen any of FS's ads recently, there were some a few weeks ago on the telly along with those for BB. There's an FS a few minutes bike ride from where I live and I think there's a BB in a shopping centre a few km further on.

It doesn't matter to me one way or another. Many of those chains are staffed by clueless young kids and run by some which are equally clueless, but slightly older. Many of them are on the verge of going belly up.
