Hi
I am a B.Tech Comp. Science Student from NIT Rourkela and
now working
in a software company.Can anyone suggest me the R & D
organisations for
which i will be suitable?
Or it is PhD or M.Tech is a minimum requirement. Please
also give me
the list of such R & D companies.
R&D companies do not exist. R&D is done in universities and
labs.
SAIC is largely R and D... and some of the think tanks do some
development, like Rand...those are mostly pure reearch...
some, such as US Naval intelligence sub the labor out to
private industry... Ive run into a few of those, you cant even
slow down walking through their over head pipe spaces without
having a guy in a sports jacket and mean look rush up and ask
what you are doing there...thats even inside highly secure
areas..using common utilities...they dont even want you
looking at their pipes.
texas instruments does a lot of R and D. I helped them set
up a few electron microscopes...I got a print out of a scan
showiing individual atoms in a silcon wafer slice...looks like
slightly fuzzy eggs in a crate... most R and D it seems is
part of larger operations, as with Genentec .. R and D with
manufacturing in mind...not pure R and D though as you say.
