What do you mean by "this"?
was about getting a better job?
In terms of what? By what definition?
I'm an administrator
working with scientists.
It would help if you could talk more about what it means to
be "working with" scientists and tell us what level of science
that YOU are familiar with, or if you have zero knowledged of science
and are just something like an HR person, safety officer, or some other
"cog in the wheel"?
how do you communicate with them? Is every
scientist borderline autistic or is it me?
You gave virtually no examples of what, exactly, your communication
problem is. I can think of situations where the scientists know something
about what they are doing, but some manager is asking them to do either
"the impossible" or "the near impossible" and with deadlines of
"yesterday" or "last year."
But Art, we're scientists. We're supposed to be able to do
the impossible, just like we do in all those movies and "Star
Trek" episodes! ;-)
