There is an Oriental expression about a jug of wine which people
consider as a "companion". You consume it little by little hoping that

In other words, drinkig does not solve problems. I realsied it long
time ago. And do not use it (anymore).

Offering to me to drink is like to offer to drink wine to a former
alcoholic who had rid of the dependency.

When are you going to find out if you get the permanent job?

They have not prepared the shortlist yet. These things take time in
these organisations in this part of the world.
