for espousing some anti establishment opinions there, so one has to be
good and not be too too anti- establishment.
art you can go through my posts there, and you will see I try to put
in as much doom and gloom as feasible,,, and actually I just put in a
retort to DJ about the so called engineering shortage.
Look they are pitching advertising for Kelly and other sci meat
markets. Intelligent minds hopefully can see through the hype.

Well, I consider that I've put in "my time" already and we con't get that much requests here, anyway. Mostly that is due to the evolution and commercialization of the internet. AAAS can advertise its websites in _Science_ and get a tax writeoff at the same time. There is no incentive for them to aim people to here, so the system and "the establishment" get to self-promote and self-perpetuate themselves to their hearts' content. I trust you are doing a meritable job, and more power to you. Intelligent minds? Hmmmmmm.... I'm thinking about Captain Kirks comment about intelligent life on a certain planet....

The bigger problem is the job market (or lack thereof, or the disappearance thereof [i.e. all the tons of money leaving the USA] and all I'm seeing are articles about how all of OUR big companies are dumping tons of money someplace else. I think last week a WSJ article about Intel going to spend $700 mil in --yes--Viet Nam, now. It has 1000 employees in Moscow, two R&D places in India, one in China, one in Malaysia, and a couple more in SEA countries. And, what does this mean for kids growing up here who want to get into IT? Let alone science & engineering.

And, I just read something in today's WSJ that confirms my comment regarding Kamal's brag on India: yes, India is keeping the Rupee cheap for the purpose of keeping the contracts coming. So, this is going to go on for many years and, yes, we're going to become a 3rd world country soon. The other possibility is another depression (another topic I've been doing a lot of rading about lately).

Another item: China now, today, has 400 million cell phones!!! Yes, also in today's WSJ. India has 75 million (from a WSJ article a few days ago) and I'll bet none of them are Dalits.

The Russians have something like 120 million. IIRC, the US has something
like 250+ million cell phones now.

Anyway, I read the other comments (from Russell, BMJ), too.
