I really do not understand why Americans are so crazy about sending the
IT jobs by CEOs to India & China. Well, some Americans lose their jobs,
but America is an innovative country by definition, and the Americans
will create the new innovative industry with the new jobs... what's
more, those new innovative jobs will pay more than those IT jobs which
went to India.

In many ways America has been on the skids for at least two decades. Japan
had a serious recession through the 1990s and maybe is just coming out
now, Europe is in a "holding pattern."

Nothing in this universe can grow to infinity. I recall a simple but
spectacular observation made some 30th years ago by somebody who
measured the dynamics of publications in theoretical physics. He
discovered the the grows is exponential. Next, evaluating the value of
exponent, he pointed out that if the things had to be that way all
population of the Earth had to become theoretical physicists by the
year 2000. Which is ... you know ... did not get even close.

I am very sympathetic with the honorable Tony Blair cited here in
another posting that he is concerned that China grows faster than UK,
but with all due respect, the countries are at the different distance
from the equilibrium. I don't think we should expect any grows in this
part of the world realistically. It is in equilibrium.

Just yesterday FED published the economic data. Median family income
adjusted for inflation has increased from 59.5K to 70.7K between 1989
and 2005 which gives us modest (very) 1.2% of grows per year on
average. If it is not equilibrium than what it is?
