What, you are becoming Dave Jensen'esque in encouraging people to post
to s.r.c. ? Well, I say it would be hard (not only for you but for the
most s.r.c'ers) to outperform Dave Jensen on this front. :-)
And, it came to my mind the experession which I did not mention. The
author of the book wrote that the people nowdays want to be sharp,
effective etc. They eventually get overburdened with work. This is why
when they are given a new project to do, they immediately get into
completing it. They need to ask themselves the question _why_. Instead,
people are just reduced to asking themselves the question _how_. People
are distanced from the inner selves. (BTW, the autor does not call
everyone to quit immeditaely the jobs; she says that it is necessary
both to provide money to the table working in non-glamorous jobs, and
to strive for fulfilling the inner self. Unfortunately, as I noticed,
the American psyche does not fit both of them for it is painful, and
pain is what contemporary Americans traditionally avoid. It is the
capability which asians and a fraction of people from the Old World
have.)
