Can I ask, again, about the situation (you weren't listening) when I said
if you put large stresses on people (wipe out their electricity, food,

here its like you are somehow bragging that ordinary decent human behavior
needs a medal or halos or something?

Well, I'll just speak for myself, then, and say that assuming I survive the innitial quake(s),

No concrete over your head?

At home, no.

good

At work, yes.

bad.... at least pay attention to where the exits are.

Luckily, neither place is on landfill, so no
liquefaction to worry about.

Well, you never know if there is a pipeline somewhere, under pressure.

I have enough water for a week, and could
stretch food out for two. I have batteries and multiple flashlights
(one, LED), and I keep both gastanks at least half full all of the time
(if nothing else, for a 12V charging system). I've also lived without
electricity or running water, so although I wouldn't like it, I'd get
by fine for a few days or even a week until whatever cavalry arrives. I
guess in your world I am naive in assuming the decent humane nature of
my neighbors.

As I've told many people: hope for the best, expect the worst.

Um...you didn't mention your arsenal and boxes of ammo...is that a secret
or is that part of your survival kit but you just don't tell everyone?

Well, the good parts of my arsenal are at a friend's house in the mountains, in a safe. I don't have much in the city, but certainly enough to do some reverse-looting, should it have to happen.

Hah! Or prevent it in the first place!?
