Whatever evils can be laid at the feet of the U.S., that isn't

economy. Or perhaps all systems contain the seeds of their
own destruction. I am truly sorry about your parents. Art
and I will probably die prematurely under a bridge, if that

the people who are making the poor choices.

Thanks for compassion, Russel. In fact, I wrote with the tongue in the cheek

Maybe put that in a tag like <tougue in the cheek start> then stuff <toungue in cheek end> or else Hot Potatoe will get excited.

that it was a "payback time", that is an apparent disintegration
of the US economy. I was writing it remembering the Straydog's words
that the USSR and the US were running close in their way to the
destruction of their economical-political systems, and that it was just
that "it" happened to the USSR first; the US might well be closer to
the crisis of their capitalism than they think.

As for my parents, they passed away many years ago, and I do not have
that much sad feeling as before. I am sorry when I see my
contemporaries who still stay with their parents and whose retraining
for the second occupation their parents finance, after their first
career did not pan out.

There is a lot of this going on in the USA, too.

I am deprived of such a luxury, and I have to
make the best out of what I have, that is out of the "worthless" PhD
degree.

There is even a book on the worthless PhD that has been out there for a while.

By the way, my boss recently put me in charge for a (small)
experimental project, and told me that I can get up to 2 people into my
team to complete it.

Hey...sounds good. Good luck.
